Mediums

Here is some helpful info on mediums if you choose to go to a psychic to talk to a dead relative

Finding the right medium for you

The best way to find a good medium is to work through a source that you trust. If you have friends in metaphysical fields, start by asking for their recomendations. Schedule appointments to meet with several mediums, either by phone or in person, so you can understand the medium's training, expierence, and expertise. Ask questions such as:
  • Have you recieved formal training in mediumship? If so, where?
  • Are you affiliated with any organizations or groups, such as the Spiritulist Church, Church of the Devine Man, a metaphysical center or college, or other faith-based structures?
  • How long have you been a practicing medium?
  • How many readings do you do in a week or a month?
  • How would you describe your mediumistic approach?
  • What other education, expierence, and background do you have?
  • What do you charge for your services?

Often, the answers you get will lead you to other questions and discussion. And pay attention to your intuition! Are you feeling that this is someone you want to work with? keep in mind that this person could connect you with very powerful and personal messages. Do you have a sence of trust whwn you talk to this person?

You might feel that you just know this is the right medium for you, and that is good. But if you are new to this, it's to your advantage to at least go through the same conversation with other mediums recomended to you. It's also smart ro ask for names of refrences that you can contact. That gives you a broader base of information from which to make your decision.

Steering Clear of Fakes and Frauds the Top 7 Tricks of the Trade
Your fraud warning alarm should go off if the medium...
  • Discusses money before asking what you need. Yes, a good medium is worth the price he or she asks, and needs to discuss charges up front. But the medium's first questions should be about your intrests, needs, and expectations.
  • Requires your credit card information or cash payment BEFORE doing a reading. Of course, payment should not depend on whether you like the reading. But you should recieve the service before you are expected to pay.
  • Is on the other end of a psychic hotline. Yes, the advertising is tempting; you can call any time and you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home. But what do you really know about the voice on the other end of the line? It's better to steer clear.
  • Asks alot of personal questions before beginning your reading. Those who are particularly adept make this questioning appear as though it's casual conversation, while the medium is actually fishing for details that will become part of your "reading."
  • Promises connection with a specific spirit or loved one, or promises specific information or results. There is no way to guarantee anything with a reading.
  • Makes specific predictions about your future. Your future is the outcome of the choices and decisions you make on your way, and it is ever-changing. Although there are likely signs that point to probable outcomes, we have two important words for you: free will. Nothing about the future is carved in stone.
  • Tells you to take specific actions. No medium has the knowledge to tell you what to do, or what events will result from your actions. This is your life, and only you can make decisions that direct it.
